It’s OVER!…..


“I’ve gained 10 pounds this summer!”  
“I totally fell off my Program!”
“How do I get back to it again? I’ve lost my groove!”
“UGH! I am soooo ready for summer to be over!”

This is what I am hearing these days, from everyone! It seems this summer has really been a hallmark of sorts, and we are READY to get BACK into our fitness and eating routines, and back into a set schedule!

I’m not sure why everyone’s feeling the same way, but maybe because this was a particularly long, extremely hot and very, very dry summer (at least it was on the West Coast). In fact, the hottest and driest in history. I think it was just too much for most of us. And we’re ready for Fall!

So how do we get back at it again? What’s the trick?

  • As one of my long term Warrior Women, Marg, always says, “Just show up”. Yep. Put your running shoes and your protein shake in your gym bag, and get to the gym. Step one done!
  • Now, schedule in your training on certain days, and make it consistent.
  • Train for 40-60 minutes a day (park your phone, just train…!). Love how your body moves again, and feel pleasure in its ability to work hard for you! Never mind berating yourself by looking in the mirror, and seeing what you ‘lost’ this summer (or gained, for some of us!). Let’s move on, shall we?…
  • Then start revamping your food, starting with a healthy protein-rich breakfast. Factor in your other meals too, eating them at a consistent time (and I would forgo the snacks for now…we really don’t need any little extra’s, especially after the food-rich summer we’ve had!)
  • And envision, oh yeah, this is SO important. “I don’t know how to meditate, and I don’t have time.” Yes you do, and yes you do. 15 minutes a day. You can’t build real health if you don’t tend to Spirit.

Oh yeah, and you have me, coach Karen, leading you every step of the way. Nothing is ‘canned’ in this program. I keep it real, honest, and attainable! You’ll see! And we touch on EVERY aspect of health, to ensure we look at physical, nutritional, mental and spiritual health from all vantage points. We have A LOT to do in this Challenge!
